We need an experienced Drupal coder. We are a talented, young, energetic team with the resources to make a difference. Now we need you to ramp our production to a new level. We have so much being developed right now that our current team is maxed out, we have multiple development streams that need modules coded - all in a secure, maintainable and efficient programming style, of course.

We are looking for someone who is prepared to give a lot to get a lot - we all care very much about what we are trying to create here. We have no time for people who aren't excellent skill-wise or at least willing to put in the work to get there, brimming with positivity or get-it-done-ness. We want that buzz, we want you to want it, too.

Nuts and bolts wise, from you we need experience:
- Drupal experience (coding modules, not just setting up Views) or unbelievable eagerness to learn
- If you don't know what a 'node' or 'hook' is, don't apply
- Excellent PHP skills (PHP 5; OOP is a plus)
- Can write MySQL queries in your sleep
- Working in a development team with people with a variety of front- and back-end skill sets

You'll be a more winning candidate to us if you have:
- Experience with jQuery and REST/SOAP interfaces
- Have contributed a module to Drupal.org or are at least an active participant in the community
- Know Python for some really cool other stuff we need
- If you are familiar with things like memcache, APC, Litespeed, Solr

Unul dintre proiectele la care lucrez momentan este o chestie drăguţă care permite oricui să adauge o pagină ca Autoo.ro pe un alt site folosind o singură linie de cod.

Dupa mici bătăi de cap cu IE am ajuns într-un punct în care orice făceam totul se bloca atunci când erau selectate mai mult de două filtre. În rest, totul mergea strună.

Momentul în care IE o lua razna era cel în care făcea un query get către un proxy Solr. Din aproape în aproape am descoperit o chestie "interesantă" a IE şi anume că limita unui url este de 2048 de caractere, inclusiv datele GET. Evident, url-ul meu era mai mare pentru că foloseam multe facet-uri şi facet queries.

Soluţia în acest caz, dacă nu se poate micşora url-ul, este să se folosească POST.

Yesterday Acquia released their commercial supported version called Acquia Drupal and their online set of management tools and support bundled as the Acquia Network. After playing around with them a little, here's my first impressions.

Acquia Drupal is offered as a free download, being licensed as GPL. The installation process is fairly straightforward and doesn't differ from the standard Drupal one that much. You'll see you're able to enter some extra information (the Acquia subscription identifier and key) but the rest is identical. You can skip the Acquia information as you don't need a subscription to use it. After everything is set up you're left with a website very similar to what you would get with Drupal 6 (on which Acquia Drupal is based, by the way).
