I upgraded the Simpy extension to work with the newly released Firefox 2.0. It has been submitted to addons.mozilla.com and it's waiting approval.

In the meantime, you can grab it from here: simpy-0.2-fx.xpi. Remember that you need to add my website to the trusted websites list to install it from here.

Hi,

Just installed that simpy extension of yours.
It perfectly does the job - the toolbar buttons work great -,
but it seems dat my context menu gets cluttered with items that i don't use.

Is there any way to remove the context-menu items of Simpy?

Not yet, in the next version it's going to be possible.

Installed this extension and it seems this triggers the crash of FF every few minutes. Have no other extension installed. On disabling this things are fine again so forced to believe something is going-on with this extension.

Using FF 2.0

I'm using 0.2 with Firefox 2.0 under Linux. It's working fine for me now. Earlier FF crashed and I cold only get it running with -safe-mode. Now I disabled several other extensions, and now FF seems stable.

My feeling is that FF 2.0 is not 100% stable, but Andu may still want to double-check things.

Sorry for causing confusion on this one! After some searching on bugzilla I have figured out that am hitting bug# 326344.

Just sheer coincidence that I began to notice these more after I installed the extension. Made an absurd connection then! Sorry. Installed the latest version of Yahoo! messenger and things are working fine.

Thanks for this extension, like it a lot!

Thanks Andu for the Simpy 0.2 Firefox extension : I use it INTENSIVELY everyday. Few months ago, I translated the 0.1 into french and submitted to you and to the french Mozilla add-ons repository ( http://extensions.geckozone.org/Firefox ) but, because I didn't translate it by fully following their rules, they didn't publish it. I didn't receive any answer from you neither but it doesn't matter : now I use the 0.2 with FF2. Please let me know if you've heard of french users that are interrested in a translated version of your extension. If so, I could do the work... but by following the translation rules this time ;-)

Bye,
edav.

French (and any other!) translation would be great!
Andu, will you be taking edav on this offer? I would :)

Hi!

I'm just starting with simpy. Of all the FF add-ons for simpy, I like this one (simpy-0.2-fx.xpi) the best. (Especially because I don't use the FF sidebar.) Thank you!

I really like the way that it takes the keywords from the metadata of the webpage and inserts them automatically into the simpy "tags" field. However, I'm finding that when it does that, it adds a bunch of underscores which need to be edited out. Is there a way to change this behaviour?

Thanks again,

Cheers,

Steven
