M-am decis. Chit ca fac foamea, chit ca (cel mai probabil) o sa se intample peste doi ani, voi avea un Mac.

eu cred ca nu se merita
mai ales daca esti programator

When I moved from the US to Romania a few months ago, I brought along my very first Mac laptop. I love it and do not plan on buying any Windows machines in the future. (Yep, either OS X or some BSD/Linux for me.)

I definitely recommend you consider getting one, if you have any interest. There aren't too many around here, from what I can tell, so finding a friend who will let you play with one can be difficult. I had several friends in America who let me use their Macs all the time and I knew I would someday get one. Years later, I got lucky and one fell into my lap. It'd be nearly impossible to go back.

And as for the Vista "Trusted Computing" hijack... well, let's just say I'm not interested in helping a computer company take away my rights.

Post a photo when you get your Apple machine!

I played with a couple. Two from some professors visiting my uni, some from friends. And I got hooked. From the day I touched one, I never looked at Linux or Windows the same way. I know, I'm childish. And I realise it has drawbacks.

The only os that came close in terms of beauty and speed was BeOS, imo. Actually, it was supposed to be MacOS, but in the end Apple went for Woz's NextOS as a base for MacOS X. I used it for a while, but it became to painful due to the lack of apps. And Zeta (the succesor) is kinda crappy imho.

As to wheter it's worth, I can do graphics and web programming on it without a problem. And other types of programming. Sure, I'm not going to write big .NET applications, but then again, I don't want to write Windows apps for a living. :)

As soon as I get one I'll post pictures. But that won't come too soon. The best deal would be a Mini right now although I'd preffer a laptop.
